Immediately upon the initiation of a disaster recovery, the ITBBC staff begins assembling the Client’s disaster recovery office. This is comprised of the following tasks, not necessarily in this order.

3.1. Configure Work Stations – ITBBC personnel build the client-defined critical workstations by loading the last saved workstation images into ITBBC computers and performing whatever reconfigurations may be required.

3.2. Configure SDB – There are SDB’s already configured at the ITBBC. The client critical data is loaded from the latest ITBBC copy.

3.3. Configure Client Network – ITBBC sets up the client’s workstations on the ITBBC LAN. Access to the client’s data and workstations will be restricted to client personnel.

3.4. Set Up Internet Connection – ITBBC provides Internet access for the client computers.

3.5. Set Up Facility – ITBBC provides physical work area with desks and chairs and telephones.

It is client’s responsibility to work with its telecommunications carriers to forward telephone numbers to the disaster recovery facility. The ITBBC support staff is available to assist in this process but may not be authorized to initiate changes with the carriers. Telecommunications contact information and procedures are collected during the installation process and should be kept up to date by client.
