A transfer of files from the client’s file server to the Client Data Partition of the SDB takes place at least once per day. It could be more often. At installation, the client defines the times of this transfer. This transfer contains the files which have been defined as critical data files and which have been modified since the last transfer.

The transfer of files from the Client Data Partition of the SDB to the Staging Partition of the SDB takes place once per day at a time defined by the client at installation. This transfer contains the files which have been defined as critical data files and which have been modified in the last twenty-four hours.

The technology used by the ITBBC identifies and backs up only the changed data within each file. Therefore, the entire file does not need to be transmitted each time a change is made. This technology maximizes the utility of the client's network capacity.

The files in the Staging Partition are then transferred to the ITBBC.

All of these transfers take place without any client intervention.
